26-27 March 2019 – Kosovo Serbia Policy Advocacy Group held the second Steering Committee Meeting to align the implementation plan and activities for the project ‘Promoting and Communicating Benefits of the Kosovo-Serbia EU Facilitated Dialogue’ funded by the European Union and Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The objective is to communicate the benefits of the technical dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia to the wider public and specific target groups.
Belgrade Fund for Political Excellence hosted the two day meeting with the leaders of NGO partners and the project management team where they discussed the overview of the activities implemented during the period of first five months. The members of the steering committee discussed the content, the framework of activities and communications and outreach semblance according to the project action.
Project management team updated the upcoming activities foreseen by the project implementation plan. The activities include expert opinions on technical dialogue, round tables with local and regional participation from stakeholders and other interest groups, research on citizen’s perception, seminars and workshops to stimulate debate and enhance understanding.
The Kosovo Serbia Policy Advocacy Group was established in early 2018, as a tool to challenge the narratives at the society level and help policymakers to make the agreements in a more transparent manner. The Consortium is comprised of eight like-minded NGOs: Balkans Policy Research Group (BPRG), Democracy for Development Institute (D4D), Kosovar Centre for Security Studies (KCSS) and NGO AKTIV from Kosovo, and Belgrade Fund for Political Excellence (BFPE), Belgrade Centre for Security Policy (BCSP), European Movement in Serbia (EMinS) and Lawyers Committee for Human Rights (YUCOM) from Serbia.
